दीपावली तक 1 टन सोने के जेवर यहां से पूरे देश में जाएंगे, अब तक 28 हजार ऑर्डर पूरे (के.ए. शाजी) केरल का कोडूवैली इन दिनों काफी व्यस्त है। यहां खरीदारी के लिए देशभर से सोने-चांदी के ठोक व्यापारियों का आना-जाना लगा है। इस बार करवाचौथ और दीपावली के लिए 1 टन सोने (अनुमानित कीमत 500 करोड़ रुपए) की जेवरों का ऑर्डर पूरा होना है। कोविड के चलते इस बार ज्यादातर ऑर्डर ऑनलाइन मिले हैं, जिसमें से पंजाब, महाराष्ट्र, पश्चिम बंगाल, यूपी जैसे राज्यों से मिले तकरीबन 28 हजार छोटे-बड़े ऑर्डर पूरे भी किए जा चुके हैं। 50 हजार आबादी वाले कोडूवैली कस्बे में 1 किमी के दायरे में सोने-चांदी की 120 से ज्यादा दुकानें हैं, जहां जेवरों की डिजाइनिंग और मेकिंग होती है। गोल्ड एसोसिएशन के प्रमुख के. सुरेंद्रन बताते हैं, ‘करवाचौथ और धनतेरस, दीपावली के अलावा अक्षय तृतीया पर केरल से बाहर के व्यापारी बड़े ऑर्डर लेकर आते हैं। इस बार हमें पूरे साल के लिए ऑर्डर मिल रहे हैं।’ एक अन्य ज्वेलर के. राघवन के मुताबिक, बीते साल त्योहारों की तुलना में काम कम है। लेकिन खुशी है कि कम समय में डिलीवरी के लिए कारीगर लगातार काम कर रहे हैं। कोडूवैली के इस ज्वेलरी मार्केट का इतिहास 130 साल पुराना है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि 20वीं सदी के पहले केरल में ज्वेलरी की दुकानें नहीं थीं। खाड़ी देशों से आता है गोल्ड, पंजाब-बंगाल की ट्रेडिशनल ज्वेलरी मशहूर कोडूवैली में दुबई, कतर जैसे खाड़ी देशों से सीधे सोना आता है। राज्यों की संस्कृति को ध्यान में रखकर जेवर बनाए जाते है। 130 साल पहले व्यापारी घर-घर महिलाओं को जेवर दिखाते और बेचते थे। अब सोने की डिजाइनिंग का सबसे बड़ा सेंटर है। आज की ताज़ा ख़बरें पढ़ने के लिए दैनिक भास्कर ऍप डाउनलोड करें कोडूवैली में दुबई, कतर जैसे खाड़ी देशों से सीधे सोना आता है। राज्यों की संस्कृति को ध्यान में रखकर जेवर बनाए जाते है। Dainik Bhaskar
